2015 was a year of major accomplishments, most notably steaming up the #18. Below is a sampling of pictures taken over the 11 work weekends throughout 2015.

The old door comes down. Wayne Lawing in the 1922 White Some of the last sections of fresh mud to be applied. Travis works on fitting up brake plumbing. Charlie and Randy keep and eye on things. The whistle in action. Travis and Randy check the dynamo. Slowly the pressure climbs. With no rods on the locomotive, we didn’t want anyone grabbing the throttle. Thursday was spent getting things ready for Friday’s steam up. Marty, Travis and Forest finish adjusting and running all the piping under the cab. Scott and Bob contemplate the air lines. Ryan and Charlie finish blocking the cab interior. Hours later the mud is all on. The 18 is completely outside for the first time in 3 years. Marty finishes off the blower ring Polished rods and some new brasess. Travis and Jeff cleaning and measuring. Travis cuts brass. Patrick welding an extension to one of the cooling pipes. Brian and his wife tightening up collars on the injector plumbing. Charlie and Marty measuring and making strike points for piston stoke.
