Zurich was the Big Pine stop for the narrow gauge. Just off Hwy. 168, Zurich was a major origination point for talc up until the end of the railroad in 1960. The paving over of the tracks in Hwy. 168 in 1960 severed the line for good and resulted in the northern end being torn out with trucks.
